What is a foot mass?

A mass on the foot is a soft tissue expansion that a patient can usually see or feel. By going to see a podiatrist, you can find out what is causing the soft tissue mass on your foot. Masses can be either benign or malignant, which is why it is important to have it checked out by your podiatrist. 

What is a ganglion cyst of the foot?

A ganglion cyst is a type of benign soft tissue mass. They are very common in the foot and also in the wrists. Patients usually describe a knot on their foot that may or may not cause pain. They are usually caused by an injury to a joint or tendon, but are not necessarily caused by a direct injury.
